Whew!! Got a lot of writing done after work today, another 1841 words. So, after 2 writing sessions yesterday and then tonight’s session (and who knows, I may find a few more minutes to do a tad more writing before I have to go to bed tonight), I’m at 4944 words. Kind of cool, huh? And I didn’t do a lot of going back and trying to “fix” things tonight…caught myself doing it a couple of times, but, they were easy fixes…that has to count for something, right?
One of the guys I work with was asking me how many pages I’ve printed out so far…then he looked at me like I was nuts when I told him I hadn’t actually printed anything out yet.
Then later, I was talking with another guy I work with, he said he was more adept at the spoken word rather than the written word…but hey, he’s an actor, what would you expect? I’ve always been able to express myself through writing much more so than speaking…guess that’s why I never really gave acting much thought. Isn’t it exciting to follow your passion, to revel in what makes you smile and brings you fulfillment? If we could all live our lives doing what we most love, I think the world would be a much happier place. Of course, there is a little thing called a paycheck that might play into this whole scene.
So, how’s everyone else doing at camp? Made any writing friends yet? Are you finding the time (and has your muse found you?) to get that story moving along? I just gotta say, “Let’s do it! Keep pounding those keys!!”
