I hope everyone had a great holiday today. I had to work, but it wasn’t bad. We only had a few people working (it was a short day, closed at 6 instead of 9), but everyone had fun and got a lot of work done at the same time…nice.
I had a really good eating day, ended up eating 9 servings of fruits and veggies, more veggies than fruit (unusual for me) with my grilled veggies for dinner.
I had Patty pan squash, baby zucchini, mushrooms, sweet potato fries and a peach. It was so delicious!! I just may have the same thing tomorrow.
I ended the day with 1717 calories and 30 minutes of cardio (bike and walking) along with upper body strength training, 8 exercises, 2 sets of each. One good thing about working on a holiday, I can usually manage to get in my exercise and eat fairly well whereas I’d likely eat a lot of higher calorie foods if I celebrated with friends or family. See, there is always something positive about most situations.
So, how did everyone else do today? Did you do anything exciting today?

YUMMY!!!! ≧^◡^≦
oh yeah…
Oh man, that looks so good!
Typically, I’d be ashamed to admit I did nothing, except for the basics, all day. Oh well, it is a holiday. Glad you had a great day!
hey, holidays only come around every once in a while…glad you were able to enjoy yours!!
You had a great day! I had 1350 calories, but that was ok with as many trips as I made up and down the stairs doing laundry, tackling the ironing pile so it isn’t so scary now, and did a little pruning in the garden–before the t-storm. My neighbor gave us some cucumbers, I ate one while making dinner and put another in our salads. Yum! I love those sweet potato fries you had for dinner.
ugh…ironing…one of my least favorite things to do…sounds like you had a very active day!!
those veges look yummy!
They were!!
Your vegetable plate looks delicious. I’ve tried quinoa again and I’m liking it more each time.
I found a sweet treat to satisfy my chocolate craving. I hope it’s not lying about the calorie count. Its a large chocolate bar by Godiva Chocolatier. It’s divided into 10 thin blocks. I chose dark chocolate with almonds. One serving is 4 blocks, but I eat only 1 block, which is 60 calories and only 2.5 grams of sugar. Does that seem reasonable or am I kidding myself? It’s such a delight at the end of a meal. I am a chocolate lover. 🙂
